The property was located in the most beautiful valley with striking views of the western tiers. Sean and Rosemary were friendly and welcoming and showed us to a lovely and comfortable room. We elected to eat at the lodge and enjoyed a marvellous meal of miso soup, tempura fish and vegetables and a delicious fruity crepe. I also enjoyed a long soak in the bath in my room. I loved the mermaid tiling. In the evening the lodge was surrounded by wallabies and pademelon. It was a very relaxing short stay, with good food, good company and the kind of quiet I rarely experience.

Loved our stay at the Forest Walks Lodge. Amazing location at the edge of world heritage wilderness area, gourmet food and wine list and above all Sean and Rosemary were wonderful hosts and made us feel like home. Highly recommend this accommodation for a very unique experience.

The property is surrounded by beautiful forest, creek and farms. We went in the winter and felt like this is the perfect place for a relaxing weekend. The place is clean and owners are super friendly. Shaune and Rosemary prepared delicious 3 course meal for us. The deer meat was super tasty. Thats one of a best meal I have ever had. Vegetables are from their own garden and meat from the near by farms. Looking forward to go back again.

We were the only ones there and got warm, personalised attention from the hosts. Sean cooked us fabulous meals each night and great breakfasts. He took us on a short walking tour which was very interesting and explained the set up of the property. We loved the vegetable garden,ducks, paddy melons, views, everything about it! It is only a short drive from Launceston but felt like we were way out in the bush. The room was big, comfy and warm.

Fantastic stay in Forest Walks Lodge. Very quite escape near the big forest and amazing great western tier mountains. It is so glad to stay with Sean the knowledgeable ecologist and Rosemary the kindest hostess and prepared us delicious breakfast and dinner. We will definitely come back :).

excellent evening meals, cordial host, sociable fellow guests beautiful isolated natural surrounds access to a variety of walks and fishing ( when not closed for world championships ) easy access to western tiers and central plateau

The peaceful forest setting with stunning walks on the property, a brilliant 3 course meal cooked just for us, accompanied by fine Tassie wine. It was a real pleasure staying with Sean and Rosemary on their tranquil forest retreat. They are true environmentalists and we would really liked to have stayed longer.
